60 years ago , Cornelious Lense, a gardener from Holland embarked to the United States and marked his presence in the Rochester N.Y area. It was then when he began working for clients spreading his landscape talents and knowledge. 

In 1963 his son John Lense took a large important forward step by creating and incorporating John Lense Landscape Inc. John took full grasp of the company started creating a larger clientele. During his working years , he created a family of his own and his son Robert W Lense began the next generation to the family business.

Robert W Lense began his footsteps in the family business in 1968 , after returning from serving his duty in the service. With the two family members working together it was then when the company began to create many landscapes for homes in the area and began expanding its services. In 1976, Robert W Lense took ownership and took the company to the next level . It was then when the company changed with the times and brought new  landscape ideas and concepts to peoples properties. During this time Robert W Lense began a family of his own , and in 1993 his son Robert J Lense began his footsteps in the family business and creating the next generation.

In 1993 Robert J Lense began working full time after leaving college. During that time till today the two of them have been working together still maintaining the same and new properties in the area. 

As of 2017, Robert W Lense will begin his 51st year with the company and his son Robert J Lense will begin his 24th year with the company. Robert J Lense has 3 children of his own now and will have his oldest son Tyler Lense make his presence to the company this year.
